How do I begin the enrollment process?

Families can begin by scheduling a meeting with our Director to learn more about the school, explore our programs, and complete the enrollment process.

What documents are required for enrollment?

Florida HRS medical forms 3040 and 680, completed by your child’s doctor, are required for newly enrolled students. Children may not begin class until all required medical documentation has been submitted.

How do parents stay informed about their child’s progress?

Families stay connected through our secure Parent Portal, where they can view important school information and communicate with teachers and staff. Access details are provided before the first day of school.

What is the Monthly Catch-Up Hour?

Every last Friday of the month, parents are invited to join us for breakfast and review their child’s monthly progress. Families will also be able to take home photos and activities displayed on our interactive monthly wall.

Do you offer support for children who receive therapy services?

Yes. Bright Steps Learning Academy offers a therapy-friendly learning environment where outside therapists are welcome on-site. A private space is available when needed so children can continue their school day with minimal disruption.

What is your food policy?

Due to the increasing number of students with food allergies and other dietary sensitivities, all members of the Riviera Schools community must be very diligent in following the rules with regard to exposing children to food products. When bringing food from home, students should not bring any products that contain peanuts or that have been manufactured in a plant that processes peanuts. Other than authorized lunch and snacks, employees may not give food or beverages to students at any time unless specifically authorized by the headmaster or principal.

The Day School campus has a NO FOOD POLICY. Other than food provided by the school as a part of the lunch or snack program and food sent by a parent for his/her child as a part of lunch or authorized snack, NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES shall be given to the children by any employee, parent, or student at any time except as provided herein. Students may not share food with one another.

Food products (which includes anything edible) may not be given to the children as rewards, incentives, gifts, or otherwise. Food products may not be given to the children before, during, or after school. Food products may not be given to the students to take home.

There will be no class holiday parties involving food products.

No gum or candy shall be allowed in school. Employees will confiscate any gum or candy immediately when found. If candy is provided by parents as a part of lunch or snack, it must be eaten at lunch time or snack time only; if not, it must be discarded before leaving the lunch area.

How does drop-off and pick-up work?

Parents will be provided with a code or key card and will also be required to complete an additional security process. Once approved, parents may walk their child directly to the classroom and pick them up from the classroom as well. Please note that classroom drop-off and pick-up will only be available before 9:00 AM and after 3:00 PM to avoid disrupting the classroom during school hours.

Can I drop off or pick up my child at any time?
